What Do You Do When Your Motor Is Not Running At Peak Performance?

Question today is what do you do when you just don’t have the get up and go.

It got up and went – somewhere.

Right? We all have those days where we just don’t feel like it. Where we are just not in the mood. Or we didn’t get enough sleep. Or, Or, Or . . . you fill in the blank.

I had one of those days recently. I wanted to train harder, to ride faster and get stronger. But my motor wasn’t running at top performance. I’m not sure why. Maybe I didn’t sleep good. Maybe I didn’t get enough nutrition. Either way, it’s pretty hard to have peak performance every day isn’t it?

But what do you do when its an off day? Do you quit? Go back to bed? Call in sick? Do nothing?

Or kick yourself in the butt and do something. We all know Michael Jordan never called in sick even when he was really sick.

Ya I know we’re not MJ. But you can have a plan B for when it happens.

Do something. Tackle easier tasks, do drills to practice basic skills, work at a slower pace but get something done.

Achievers don’t stop when they don’t feel like it. They “just do it” to quote Nike.

If we only did work activities or training when we “feel like it” I doubt anything would get done.

So its up to you. What are you going to do when you don’t “feel like it”.
